Setting Up Your Computer To Check Mail
If you are using Outlook, follow the steps below:
- From the menu at top, select "Tools" and then "E-mail Accounts".
- Check "Add a new e-mail account" and click "Next.
- Select "POP3" as the server type and click "Next.
(Contact us if you prefer to use the IMAP type)
- Enter the following information after you enter your own name and the email address that you will be using:
User Name: the mail name that you are setting up. This preceeds the "@" symbol in your Email address.
Password: this is the password that you will provide webdesignsLA to secure your mailbox.
We strongly recommend that you use a minimum of six characters and preferably eight characters including
- At least one uppercase and at least one lowercase letter
- At least one number
- At least one special character such as "@", "#", or any of the symbols above your numbers keys.
Incoming mail server (POP3): www.yourdomain.com
Outgoing mail server (SMTP): www.yourdomain.com
If you are using Outlook Express, follow the steps below:
- From the menu at top, select "Tools" and then "Accounts".
- Click the Mail tab and then click "Add" and "Mail"
- Enter your name as you would like people to see it and then click "Next.
- Enter your E-mail address and then click "Next".
- Make sure the next screen reads "My incoming mail server is a POP3 server" and then enter the following:
Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) server: www.yourdomain.com
Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: www.yourdomain.com
Click "Next".
- On the Internet Mail Logon screen, enter your Account Name and your Password. We strongly recommend that you use a minimum of six characters and preferably eight characters including
- At least one uppercase and at least one lowercase letter
- At least one number
- At least one special character such as "@", "#", or any of the symbols above your numbers keys.
Click "Next".
- Click "Finish" to complete the process.
